Baturu and Lida Consulting Enter into Strategic Partnership to Jointly Tackle the Challenges Facing Car Dealers in the Accident-Damaged Vehicle Sector
On 25 August, Baturu and Nanjing Lida Enterprise Management Consulting Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as ‘Lida Consulting’) formally signed a strategic cooperation agreement at Baturu’s headquarters. This powerful alliance will draw on each party’s respective strengths to address the core challenges faced by automotive dealer groups in their accident-damaged vehicle business. By developing differentiated solutions, the two parties will gradually establish a deeply integrated partnership to jointly create tangible value for automotive dealer groups through cost reduction and efficiency improvements.

As the ongoing transformation of the automotive industry deepens, the profit focus of dealer groups is gradually shifting towards after-sales services. Within this context, the accident-damaged vehicle business—as a core segment driving value growth in after-sales—is highly prioritised by dealers. Research indicates that the accident-damaged vehicle business has become a crucial buffer for dealers in weathering market downturns. Over 80 per cent of dealer groups have designated this business as a ‘top-tier strategic priority’, with accident-damaged vehicles from luxury brands accounting for 49–56 per cent of after-sales gross profit, and those from joint-venture brands accounting for 44–51 per cent.
However, this buffer is facing unprecedented pressure—with damage assessments subject to continuous discounts (62 per cent of dealerships apply discounts of 10 per cent or more), a general decline in lead volumes (with only new energy vehicles bucking the trend), and a vicious cycle of competition in external acquisition costs (over 60 per cent of dealers believe competition has spiralled out of control), making the traditional ‘resource-driven’ model unsustainable.
Against this backdrop, the strategic partnership between Baturu and Lida Consulting has emerged in response to market trends. In recent years, Baturu has consistently integrated its digital infrastructure capabilities across the entire automotive aftermarket value chain, connecting and serving over 200,000 industry players, and expanding its ‘network’ to include original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), automotive dealer groups, automotive parts manufacturers and distributors, motor insurance providers, and end-of-life vehicle dismantling facilities. Among these, the digitalised centralised procurement solution launched for car dealers has successfully empowered over 150 dealer groups, accumulating extensive practical experience in the challenging areas of system selection and quality control.
Lida Consulting has long specialised in the field of automotive dealer services, with its business covering corporate management consultancy, market research and digital empowerment services. It is committed to providing the industry with authoritative research, practical solutions and digital tools.
This collaboration did not come about by chance. Previously, the *2026 White Paper on the Development of Accident Vehicle Business among Chinese Car Dealers*, compiled by Lida Consulting on behalf of the Digitalisation Sub-Committee under the guidance of the China National Federation of Industry and Commerce’s Chamber of Automotive Dealers, was officially released. As a supporting organisation, Batulu was deeply involved in the planning and execution of the specialised research, providing comprehensive support for the white paper’s data collection, case studies and industry analysis.
The White Paper provides an in-depth analysis of the industry’s current state across six key dimensions: operational management, profit enhancement, market competition, cooperation with insurance companies, the spare parts supply chain, and digital transformation. It has become an authoritative industry reference for improving the quality and efficiency of dealers’ accident-damaged vehicle business. It was precisely through the joint creation of this White Paper that the two parties achieved their first in-depth exchange of expertise, laying a solid foundation for this strategic partnership.

Subsequently, the two parties engaged in in-depth discussions regarding the accident-damaged vehicle business framework. Taking this as a new starting point, they will accelerate the implementation of the outcomes of their collaboration, working together to establish a new industry benchmark for the digital transformation of the accident-damaged vehicle business and continue to empower the high-quality development of automotive dealerships.
