Today's Finance | Guangdong TV Visits the "Unicorn" Baturu to Explore Paths for Industrial Digitalization
2026-04-02

In recent years, Guangzhou has vigorously implemented the innovation-driven development strategy, gathered innovation resources, intensified the cultivation of innovation entities, optimized the environment for innovation and entrepreneurship, and given birth to a group of unicorn enterprises capable of leading and supporting the development of future industries, which have received high attention from both domestic and international communities.

The Guangzhou Unicorn Innovation Enterprise Selection has been held since 2017 and has now conducted five editions, aiming to discover Guangzhou's local unicorn enterprises with strong innovation, rapid growth, and great development potential.

Recently, Guangdong Radio and Television Station's "Into the Unicorns" series featured a special report on Baturu and conducted an exclusive interview with Baturu Chairman and Founder Zeng Wan Gui on topics such as traditional industries going digital.

Since its establishment, Baturu has focused on the deep integration of digital technologies such as the Internet and big data with the traditional automotive aftermarket. It has evolved from early solutions to the "difficulty in finding parts" for auto repair enterprises to delivering digital infrastructure and building industry-level digital solutions, driving the transformation and upgrading of various links and entities in the automotive aftermarket to achieve intelligent industry connectivity.

In recent years, Baturu has also played a leading and demonstrative role in Guangzhou's digital economy construction, winning the "Guangzhou Unicorn Innovation Enterprise" list for three consecutive years and gaining recognition from government departments at all levels.

Survey reports show that under the digital economy environment, the success rate of enterprise digital transformation is only 20%. Therefore, for traditional industries to upgrade to high-efficiency, specialized, and standardized scenarios, the upstream and downstream of the industrial chain must first have the willingness to upgrade and take the first step in technological thinking.

Baturu Chairman and Founder Zeng Wan Gui has been engaged in the auto parts industry for more than 20 years. He stated that the auto parts industry is extremely backward, fragmented, and disconnected across the upstream and downstream of the industrial chain, leading to low circulation efficiency, low standardization, and uneven service levels. Ultimately, end consumers experience extremely poor automotive maintenance services.

Therefore, Baturu started earliest by building a massive automotive parts database, acting as a "converter" for industry language, enabling direct and precise "dialogue" between supply and demand sides through standardized data "translation".

Currently, Baturu’s automotive parts data covers 99% of mainstream vehicle models in China, and its data services have become important infrastructure for the automotive aftermarket.

As Baturu brings digital infrastructure and solutions into the automotive aftermarket, traditional industry chain entities have the opportunity to go digital.

Auto repair chain enterprises' parts centralized procurement business leverages the digital tailwind to achieve efficiency improvements and cost reductions in operations and management, with cost reduction effects up to over 10%.

Traditional automotive parts dealers, empowered by Baturu’s digital solutions, not only achieve full online operation of their business processes but also transform their traditional rough operations into intensive and refined ones through the digital operation guidance provided, resulting in improved industry circulation efficiency, service experience, and reduced industry and social costs.

Currently, Baturu’s industrial internet platform has connected and served thousands of high-quality parts dealers domestically and internationally, over 100,000 auto repair enterprises, nearly 2,000 auto dealer stores, etc., greatly enhancing the collaborative efficiency of the entire automotive aftermarket industry, stimulating new vitality and adaptability in traditional industry digitization, and transforming the upstream and downstream of the industrial chain from simple connections to a more diverse and healthy ecosystem.

Last year, the "Baturu Industrial Internet" project was selected through layers of screening and appeared at the main venue of the 2021 National "Double Innovation Week", showcasing to domestic and international audiences Baturu’s achievements in promoting digital transformation of traditional industries and how it drives entrepreneurship and employment through innovation.

As a driving force for regional economy, Baturu will continue to focus on "digital-industry integration" in the future, build characteristic and specialized industrial internet platforms, continuously showcase the new face of regional innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem, and boost industrial digital transformation.
